Nicht nur mit seinen obskuren Veröffentlichungen von Compilations machte er sich einen Namen, sondern auch mit Bands, die er unter Vertrag hatte, wie Jon spencer Blues Explosion, Oblivians den Goris usw. Diese wiederum dürften den Grundstein für Bands, wie den White Stripes oder den Hives gelegt haben.
