Die Jungs sind zu Haus im Punkrock, keine Frage. In dem Bereich haben die Radio Dead Ones live schon lange die Schallmauer von 500 Shows in ganz Europa geknackt. Aber sie haben auch Spaß daran das Tanzbein auf anderen Tanzflächen zu schwingen. So lassen sie es sich nicht nehmen an ausgesuchten Abenden mit Musik aus der Konserve gute Laune zu verbreiten. PunkRock, Reggae, Rock'n'Roll, Ska und alles was man sonst noch so für'ne gute Party braucht, steht auf dem Speiseplan. Das Einzige was es nicht gibt, sind Festplatten oder CD-Mixe vollgestopft mit mp-3's. "Nee Alta, hier is Oldschool angesagt." Sie schleppen sich den Buckel krumm, um ihre Lieblingssongs auf Vinyl an den Start zu bringen. Lass den Alltag draußen, Tassen hoch und ordentlich Sound auf die Ohren - Spaß muss sein!!!

Zu schnell für Blues, zu dreckig für Swing, zu Gipsy für Rock’n‘Roll - das sind Diving For Sunken Treasure. Mehrstimmiger Gesang und Standschlagzeug treffen in Hochgeschwindigkeit auf Akustikgitarren und Kontrabass. Das klingt nach Roadtrip und Wüstenhighway, nach Whisky und verrauchten Spelunken, nach Federboas im Straßengraben und kleinen Momenten, die große Geschichten schreiben.

Staying true to their sound, Jaya The Cat play an original blend of reggae, ska and punk rock - dosed with dub and dance hall beats, all blending into a musical soundtrack to support tales filled with drunken sunrises, narrow escapes, dysfunctional love affairs, political disillusionment and optimistically raised glasses, through seedy bars, carnival parades and late night dives.

Originating from Boston and currently based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Jaya The Cat not only continue to grow sonically but have also been hard at work building their reputation as one of the premiere bands on the European live circuit, playing hundreds of concerts to an ever expanding audience and turning every show into an unforgettable onstage party with the audience singing, dancing and drinking right along with the band.

Although they prefer to play their own headlining shows, Jaya The Cat have shared stages with a number of their peers such as Sublime, Beatsteaks, Broilers, Mad Caddies and Ska-P - and have also had the pleasure of appearing at numerous festivals such as the Rebellion Festival, Vans Warped Tour, Boomtown, Mighty Sounds, Lowlands, Pukkelpop, Ruhrpott Rodeo ...
